- zero fronts: promoted pace acts like a front runner with pace coefficients and no poskeep, so gets very high win rate
- solo front: pace has no access to pace-up, late/end still do so they end up in better relative position
- multi-front: all other styles have access to pace-up, fronts have speed-up and overtake
- nonzero runaways: fronts always have overtake, other styles always have pace-up
