The player has two accruing resources:

  • Goop. (We never decided on a real name for this – blessings and prayers were suggestions.) Progression currency used to achieve secondary and tertiary gameplay loop advancement. Accrues due to user action (click button gain goop primary gameplay loop) and passively over time proportional with worshipers.
  • Worshipers. Serves only as a measure of passive goop gain rate.

We need a representation for goop and worshipers, gameplay mechanics aside. Because gameplay happens passively in any scene (and eventually while the game is closed, to some extent), the numbers need to be writeable from anywhere.
